Mental Illness??
The post that i am going to write is not really related to my law career. But there are some link.
I admit my news is kindda slow ( ok really slow). I only realised about the "Alvin and Vivian" case today even though it happened end of last year.
So who are Alvin and Vivian? Alvin is a 24 years NUS Law student and Vivian is 23 years old, they both studied in Singapore but they are of Malaysian nationality. Apparently both Alvin and Vivian created a blog and they uploaded their sex videos and nude pictures of themselves.

I am mostly interested in Alvin. According to the news, Alvin is a top scorer and he his law degree is funded by scholar ships. Due to this matter, not only was he kicked out from NUS, but his scholar ships fund is revoked and he need to pay all the money he gotten back to the funder.
Waste of Money, effort and time
Instead of feeling sorry or sad about it, he still don't think what he have done was wrong.
As a law student myself, if I am the one in his shoes, I will be so ashamed and disappointed with myself. Law is not an easy subject, the amount of effort, time and money put into it is not little. Its such a waste!!
Attention Seeker/Mental Illness?
Research has shown that legal profession compared to the other profession are the most likely to suffer from depression and other mental illness. This includes law student too. So did Alvin study till ki siao ( crazy) or was he just a attention seeker???
ok.... i think he is a sex addict and he need help urgently.
Fit and Proper Person
In Victoria, before anyone is admitted into practice, they need to prove the the Board of Examiners that they are fit and proper person who are able to work in the legal profession. When I say Fit and Proper person, it means the person must prove that they have self discipline- to serve the court and also to helps the client. They often need to deal with large amount of money ( as trustee or etc), they often face dilemmas between what was right and what was wrong ( moral obligation vs client's duty, Fiduciary duty, and courts duty). Hence when you apply to the board, you need to state all your criminal conviction, any misconducts ( fines, penalties etc). Most important of all, you are required to show remorse and that you will not repeat any of these actions any more.
In this case, if Alvin is in Vic, he can kiss good bye to his lawyer cert. ( absence of remorse). Even though this is an issue that is not going to affect his ability to function as a lawyer, what he had done gives bad reputation to the legal profession. He should keep what is private private and what he have done means he has serious judgemental problem and he lack discipline. People who can judge what is private and public means there are high chance of breaching the client and lawyers confidentiality rule.
Stupidity
Seriously.... i can only say one thing about u Vivian....... STUPID!!! He obviously don't love you. He is just making use of you! You are a disgrace to your family.
